Client-to-Agent Linking for ATO Online Services

Client-to-agent linking is now a mandatory step for most businesses using a registered BAS. It ensures your agent is properly authorised to access your ATO records, lodge activity statements, or manage your payroll and obligations.

This added layer of security protects both business owners and agents from identity fraud and unauthorised access.

By linking your business to your agent through ATO Online Services, you enable:

✔️ Secure access for your agent to your ATO account
✔️ Faster and more efficient BAS, IAS and super reporting
✔️ Less paperwork and admin for your business
✔️ Greater confidence in protecting your business data

To get started, you’ll need an ABN (excluding sole traders), a strong myGovID, and access to ATO Online Services for Business.
